Ranpo never imagined he would grow this close to Atsushi. Suddenly, he understands just why so many people are drawn to him. Between taking his virginity and becoming the first person to whom Ranpo's admitted his fate back home, Ranpo is sure he wouldn't be handling this world nearly as well without him. Naturally, that just adds another little bit of conflict to his already conflicted romantic life, but... if it means he can enjoy Atsushi's company, he doesn't mind it being complicated.

In the time since Ranpo arrived, his relationship with Dazai has gone through more than a few transitions. Although their relationship back home was more born from a mutual understanding of one another, here on Prismatica, they've become more genuinely close. Ranpo's given up on just accepting Dazai's status quo, actively fighting for the chance to get to know the man behind the walls he's fought to keep up all these years. Change was scary, but between the two of them, he's sure they can handle it.

Ranpo and Poe have a complicated and yet simple relationship. What began as a fierce rivalry quickly turned into a tight friendship. Ranpo wouldn't hesitate to call Poe his best friend, second perhaps only to Yosano (with the assumption that Fukuzawa is on a different scale all together, of course). But here in Prisma, "friendship" often carried another meaning, and as much as Ranpo fears damaging the seemingly fragile bond between them, holding him at a distance might just make things worse. The last thing he wants to do is hurt Poe.
There's still so much they haven't talked about, the true elephant in the room involving Ranpo's fate back home. As much as Ranpo feels as though he should tell him, with an understanding of just what sort of friendship they have with one another, he feels as though it would be best to let that be the final mystery he can give to his best friend.

It's only natural that Ranpo was a bit worried about what it would mean to grow closer to an alternate version of someone he knows, but shared histories aside, they really couldn't be more different, and Ranpo likes this Atsushi a lot. It pains him to think of what sort of life he must have lived back in his own Yokohama, but that just means all the more than he deserves his best possible life here in Prisma.

It takes a lot to truly surprise Ranpo, but learning that Akutagawa is a pretty all right guy was pretty shocking. But considering the follow up to their completely friendly and civil conversation was a quick fuck in an alleyway during Sanguis, now Ranpo's really not too sure what to think of the guy. In any case, he's sure as hell not telling Atsushi about this... even if he has his suspicions that their encounters may have produced similar results.

Never before has he met someone as endearingly kind as Atsushi-san. Right from the start, he's been nothing but patient and helpful -- is it really any wonder he's come to care about him so much? There are few people out there Ranpo would trust 100% with just about anything, and Atsushi has quickly become that person in his life. Whenever Ranpo needs to feel grounded or safe (something he needs more often than not these days), he always finds himself headed for Atsushi's apartment, to curl up at his side and listen to him read.

The evolution of Ranpo and Tiger's relationship has been a rocky one, and even Ranpo can't believe how far they've come. The more he learned about him, the more he wanted to help him, seeing what neither Atsushi could see in terms of what what keeping their hearts at a distance, despite them being impossibly close at all time. But the more Ranpo helped Atsushi and Tiger open up and bond with one another, the closer Ranpo found himself growing to both sides as well.
Sometimes he can't help but wonder if he has a right to feel as strongly as he does for Tiger. It feels softer, and more fragile than what he has with the Outer Atsushi. But even so, he wouldn't trade it for the world.

Qionglin is soft-spoken and sweet, and Ranpo can't help but feel reminded of Poe-kun every time they meet. He's so curious as to what he is and how he came to be that way-- but understandably, it seems to be a sore spot. Maybe someday they can get close enough so that he'll bring it up on his own. For now, he'll just continue to enjoy their friendship, and hope that he can prove to be a comforting presence in Qionglin's life here in Prisma.

Of all his relationships here in Prisma, none are more complicated than the friendship he has with Inaba. What started out as a chaste, almost familial relationship quickly escalated into a never-ending siege of sexual tension with seemingly no end, no matter how much they dance along the very line they're desperately trying not to cross. They bicker and fight, and have no small amount of complexes regarding one another, and yet even so, Ranpo always finds himself drawn right back to her side.
Perhaps it's just a matter of how similar they are that causes things to be so complicated between the two of them. But in any case, Ranpo cares about her too much to just leave her alone. After all, he knows that's not what she would really want.

Despite how freely his given heart away during his time in Prismatica, Ranpo's never really experienced heartbreak before. But that changed after telling Zed how he felt, giving him a riddle through meaningful flowers, in the hopes of giving Zed time to think about what those feelings meant.
Ranpo's feelings for Zed haven't changed, but more so than just heartache, now Ranpo really has to think about exactly what constitutes friendship in a place like this, where physical and even sexual affection blur the lines between friends and lovers. He doesn't want to lose Zed in his life, but even if even friendship is too painful to maintain...

Kunikida has hardly been here a full month, and already things have drastically changed between them. What exactly happened to him back home? Ranpo is afraid to ask, but can't help but wonder if some of this behavior is the result of it. There's definitely a tension that exists between them that wasn't there before, and Ranpo can't help but want to chase after it and see where it leads. At least right now, this seems like the best course of action for both of them.

Yosano is without a doubt Ranpo's best friend. But that just makes things all the more complicated here, doesn't it? He wishes more than anything that they could have explored something beyond friendship back home. This place had a way of making even simple things complicated, after all.
They've come a long with one another. And while Ranpo still isn't sure what to do with the feelings he's developed for her, given he has a good idea of how she feels in turn, maybe it's all right for things to continue as they have been.
