I don't really like the other Ranpo.

[Even now, he still finds it hard to just say things like that. He doesn't want to offend, and that Ranpo is a great writer and a lover of mysteries acting as a lover of mysteries does, it's not his place to tell him that he's not comfortable with how pushy he is-]

That guy gave me the creeps, and I only talked to a fake version of him for ten seconds!
Just because we share a name and some other weird alternate dimension mumbo-jumbo doesn't mean we're actually related in any way.

It's not because of the name. I'd feel guilty saying that about any of my coworkers. Edogawa hasn't really done anything wrong to me... Just been a little pushy with his questions, and really I should expect that from anyone who found out about Tiger.

Sometimes people just don't get along! You don't even need a reason, but if he makes you uncomfortable, then that's just how you feel!

He could be the greatest guy who ever lived-- but I'd still find him creepy, with or without your assessment!

I barely think about the name thing anymore with Atsushi and I, but it's different if you see them all the time?

The fact that we have the same name isn't the problem.

It's that my name is apparently just a fake way of saying Poe-kun's name.

If it helps, pen names are extremely common? Kyouka's real name is Kyoutarou. Dazai Osamu is actually Tsushima Shuji. Kunikida is a real name but 'Doppo' isn't. Ango is a pen name, Mori Ougai is really Mori Rintarou... I could go on.

Naming your pen name after an admired author isn't even the strangest origin story I've heard.

Well, he probably got closer than most people?
He almost killed Yosano-san, and it's because of him that I learned my ability wasn't an ability after all.

But the information he gave us helped us save Yokohama, so it worked out in the end!
